Questions.
How do I move an icon into the drawer?
Hold ⌘ and drag it between [ and ]. Drag it right of ] to keep it visible.
What happens to apps I open while it’s closed?
Their icons show right away. Only what was in the drawer stays hidden.
My Mac has a notch. Does it still work?
Yes. On macOS 26, Drawer tells you when icons won’t fit beside the notch.
The archive box disappeared. How do I get my icons back?
Open Drawer again from your Applications folder and the drawer opens.
