Overview

Where Can I Watch? ("the App") is an app for iOS and Android developed by Tom McFarlin / Pressware, LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). This privacy policy explains how the App handles your information. It covers both the iOS and Android versions; where behavior differs by platform, that is noted below.

The short version: We collect minimal data and never sell your information.

Information We Collect

The App collects and stores the following information locally on your device:

• Your streaming service preferences — Which services you've selected as your subscriptions
• Your saved movies and TV shows — Titles you've bookmarked to watch later
• Your search history — Recent searches for quick access
• App preferences — Settings like filter preferences and display options

This data is stored locally on your device using each platform's standard on-device storage, and is not transmitted to our servers.

Premium Features and iCloud Sync (iOS only)

On iOS, if you purchase Premium and enable sync, your saved items are synced across your devices using Apple's CloudKit service. This data:

• Is stored in your personal iCloud account
• Is protected by Apple's security measures
• Is not accessible to us
• Can be deleted by removing the App or disabling iCloud sync

We do not have access to your iCloud data. Apple's CloudKit handles all synchronization securely within your iCloud account.

The Android app has no Premium tier and no cloud sync. All of your data stays on your device only.

Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services:

1. TMDB (The Movie Database) — On both platforms, the App fetches movie and TV show information, including titles, descriptions, release dates, and poster images from TMDB's public API. These requests include your search queries but no personal information.
2. Apple's App Store (iOS only) — For processing Premium purchases. Purchase records are handled by Apple according to their privacy policy.
3. Apple's CloudKit (iOS only) — For Premium users who enable sync. Data is stored in your personal iCloud account.

The Android app uses only TMDB; it has no in-app purchases and no cloud services. We do not use any analytics services, advertising networks, or tracking tools on either platform.

Data We Do Not Collect

The App does not collect:

• Your name, email, or contact information
• Your location
• Device identifiers or advertising IDs
• Usage analytics or behavioral data
• Any information about what you watch

Network Usage

The App requires network access to:

• Search for movies and TV shows via TMDB
• Fetch streaming availability information
• Download poster images
• Sync saved items via iCloud (iOS Premium only)
• Verify Premium purchase status (iOS only)

No personal data is transmitted in these requests. On Android, network access is used only for the TMDB requests and poster images above.

Children's Privacy

The App does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 years of age. Since the App collects minimal data and does not require account creation, it is suitable for users of all ages.

Data Retention and Deletion

All locally stored data can be deleted by:

• Deleting the App from your device
• Clearing saved items within the App
• Clearing search history within the App

On iOS, CloudKit data (for Premium users) can be deleted by disabling iCloud sync or through your iCloud settings. The Android app stores nothing off-device, so uninstalling removes everything.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

Your Rights

Since most data is stored locally on your device, you have full control over it. You can view, modify, or delete your data at any time through the App's interface or by removing the App.
